Nature Face 2

£195.00
sold out

I made these pieces to encapsulate the true spirit of spring. I didn’t want them to be green men as such but slightly more ambiguous than that. I left areas undecorated so that the viewer can fill in the gaps themselves if they so desire. I named them nature faces and wonder what they might be trying to tell us!

May is undoubtedly my favourite time of year when plants grow so quickly you can almost see it happening and I wanted to create some pieces that celebrated this magical time of the year.

This piece features almost a question mark in reverse and a primrose flower eye. The other eye is replaced by plant growth. I used black slip and copper oxide to decorate this piece followed by a clear glaze.

Suitable for outside or inside, just bring in during the colder winter months. Nature Face 2 measures 18.5 cm diameter.
