Single Angel Cobalt Right

Inspired by a childhood experience, I felt moved to create some ceramic angels.  They have proven to be my best sellers and I’ve been making them for a number of years now.  I took visual inspiration from William Morris's angels and the botanical motif on the skirt was influenced by his designs. They come in a variety of gorgeous, rich colours with precious gold lustre decoration which is beautifully sumptuous and shiny.

Each angel is handmade in white earthenware and hand decorated using slips and oxides.  The pieces are then fired and glazed with a transparent glaze, after which transfers created from my original drawings are applied and fired on.  Finally the gold lustre decoration which contains 10% gold is applied and fired onto the angel.

They are very simple to hang in pairs or singularly and are fitted with an adhesive d-ring, allowing you to hang your piece simply from a screw, nail or picture hook in the wall.  They work particularly well hung in angled pairs over doors, beds or mirrors but would enhance your home wherever you decided to put them. 

All items come gift wrapped in plenty of bubble wrap followed by rich teal tissue paper and gold ribbon.  They are then placed inside a stunning magnetic close gift box so would make a very special gift for someone, or yourself of course!  And remember, angels aren’t just for Christmas!!
